National Summit on Civics in Catholic Education August 2024 | Atchison, KS

The National Summit on Civics in Catholic Education will showcase the integral role of civic education in K-12 Catholic schools. Education as formation should foster fidelity and responsibility in young men and women: love for God, for neighbor, and for country. We desire to form graduates who take their role as citizens seriously by faithfully pursuing truth and beauty in the public square. At this Symposium, we will explore the history of civic-based Catholic education in America and generate ideas around civic engagement for our students today. Teachers and school leaders are encouraged to attend together to explore how your school can strengthen civic engagement in the classroom and in the community.

With special guest Robert P. George as our opening lecturer and others speakers to be announced, this event is sure to spark inspiration and conversation around reclaiming civic education in our schools.
