The Herzog Foundation is joined by Marlin Ritzman of Ritzman Security & Consulting, and Tige Watson the Director of Safety and Security at Valor Christian High School to discuss best practices in campus safety and community engagement for your school. In this two-hour virtual training, we will cover the following topics:
- Engaging with local law enforcement
- The importance of Incident Command and Emergency Operations Plans (EOPs)
- The role of cameras and other physical tools
- Understanding proactive training principles
- Discussing shared experiences and recommendations from fellow Christian school leaders
Our Partners: Marlin Ritzman & Tige Watson
Marlin Ritzman is the Owner of Ritzman Security & Consulting Formerly, Marlin worked for the FBI as the Assistant Director. He is an experienced leader with over 30 years of law enforcement and national security experience.
Tige Watson is currently the Director of Student Affairs at Valor Christian High School in Highlands Ranch, CO. He oversees, discipline and behavior, the dean's office, Student Leadership and Experiences, Social Emotional Services, and Student Support Services, and is the Director of Safety and Security. Tige has worked in various capacities at Valor for a little over eleven years. After over twenty-one years of service, Tige retired from the Albuquerque Fire Dept in 2013 as the Deputy Chief of EMS and HR. Responsibilities included training and front-line EMS response. He also served as the liaison between the fire department and the emergency manager in Albuquerque.
Who’s It For?
Leadership of Christian schools are encouraged to stay up to date on security topics. This training gives leaders a chance to hear from an expert in the field and glean best practices. School safety officers are also welcome to attend.
