Whether you are an independent, established, church, or startup school, the Herzog Foundation Board Leadership Training Retreat is designed to improve the working relationship between the board and your school leadership team.    After surveying hundreds of Christian schools, the Board Leadership Training Retreat surfaced as one of the most important training opportunities in Christian education.   <ul><li>What are the proper lanes of engagement?   </li><li>Where are there gaps in communication?   </li><li>How can we build a healthy leadership culture in our Christian school?   </li></ul> These questions and more will be answered by coaching, mentorship, networking, and connection.  This training is designed to be a retreat for the most important relationship in your school – the relationship between the head of school and board chair. Whether there is room for improvement, or you have a great working relationship, this training retreat will provide you with an opportunity to build connections and inspire ideas to support your school’s vision for years to come.  This is a best-in-class event accessible for Christian schools and homeschools across the country. Each seat is valued at more than $1,000 and is completely covered by the Herzog Foundation as an investment in your school. The Foundation will cover event costs including accommodations, group meals, transportation once at the hotel, coaching costs, and event materials. Organizations are expected to cover all travel costs to the event location, including parking. This event is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests are expected to be present for all sessions in their entirety including activities, training sessions, and meals. If you cannot make this commitment, please register for a later event. Who’s It For?

This training is designed relationally for the Head of School or Executive Director and their immediate supervisor whether that be the board chair, church pastor, or church council member. We require the head of school (or equivalent) and board chair (or equivalent) to attend together. We can extend this up to three additional seats per school. Exceptions to this rule are given for pending leadership turnover or other outstanding challenges – please contact training@herzogfoundation.com to request.
