Whether you are a church, independent, well-established, startup school, or homeschool, the Herzog Foundation Board Leadership Training Retreat is designed to improve the working relationship between the board and your leadership team.    After surveying hundreds of Christian schools, the Board Leadership Training Retreat surfaced as one of the most critical training opportunities in Christian education.   <ul><li>What are the proper lanes of engagement?   </li></ul> <ul><li>Where are potential gaps in communication?   </li></ul> <ul><li>How can we build a healthy leadership culture in our Christian school?   </li></ul> <ul><li>How can we reduce Head of School turnover? </li></ul> These questions and more will be answered by coaching, mentorship, networking, and connection.  Whether there is room for improvement or you have a great working relationship, this training retreat will provide you with an opportunity to build connections and inspire ideas to support your school’s vision for years to come.  Who’s It For? This training is designed relationally for the Head of School or Executive Director and their immediate supervisor, whether that be the board chair, church pastor, or church council member. We require the Head of School (or equivalent) and board chair (or equivalent) to attend together. We can extend additional seats per school for board members but suggest against bringing additional administrative team members. Schools will not be accepted into the event until both required members have submitted an application. Exceptions to this rule are given for pending leadership turnover or other outstanding challenges – if this applies to you, please describe in detail your current situation on your application. All guests are required to attend the training in full including all sessions, activities, breaks, and group meals.
