Synopsis
What are the greatest opportunities for Christian schools to show our communities what living for Jesus in every facet of our lives looks like? It’s our outward-facing programs, such as athletics, fine arts, and co-curriculars. As Christian schools, everything we do should ultimately point back to Jesus and be a part of the process of evangelizing and/or discipling our students. These co-curricular activities also tend to be the most overlooked as we create our spiritual development programs, yet can be the most powerful tool we have for reaching the hearts of our students, parents, and even community.
How do we train coaches, teachers, and volunteers in this arena of our schools? How does the very way we live out our faith in sports, plays, practices, debate, and other student programs reinforce the mission and vision of the school? These questions and more will be explored with speakers who will share practical stories of using the co-curriculars to spark faith formation.
Who’s It For?
We encourage Heads of Schools, Fine Arts Directors, Athletic Directors, Coaches, Spiritual Life Directors, and/or Academic Deans to attend this training.
